Although I can't find any mention on the Canon USA website, it looks like Canon have actually introduced their usual Fall Rebate program on selected lenses and Speedlites.
According to Amazon, there are "instant rebates" on the usual lens and speedlite collection and Amazon have a page which shows all the rebated items.

I'm not sure why Canon would want to keep this a secret! As far as I know Canon have not sent out any Press Releases, and these rebates are not listed in the "Current Rebates" section of their website. I guess they must have told the camera stores though! Maybe they're just slow in getting the announcement out since they are busy at the PhotoPlus Expo show in NYC right now.
Anyway, when I get an update or official work from Canon, I'll post the info, but for now, Amazon are giving the instant rebates, so it's not a bad time to buy if you've been waiting for a price reduction! The biggest rebate seems to be $500 off the EF 200/2L IS USM ($5300 down to $4800). Other rebates are lower. There's $150 off the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L and $130 off the EF 85mm f1.2L II USM. If you're looking for a speedlite, there's $50 off the Speedlite 580EX II.
Here are a few of the other items included in the program:
