| Comments | Mechanical and electrical update of the original EF 85/1.2L (but same optics). Focus speed is significantly faster (1.8x faster according to Canon) and E-TTL distance information is now provided to the camera. Very good lens, ideal for portrait work. Provides smooth background blur (good "bokeh") via 8 blade circular aperture. As far as I can determine, this lens is not officially designated by Canon as being one of their "weather sealed" lenses. |
