Opinions

The 380EX appears to support all the features of the Speedlite 300EZ, with the addition of bounce flash, E-TTL and FP flash (high-speed sync). The 380EX can be used on older cameras (pre EOS 50) but some modes (see Available Features table above) won't work. If you have to choose between buying a 300EZ and a 380EX flash, pay the extra to get bounce flash.
