This shot was actually a test of the Canon EF 70-200/2.8L IS II USM. It's a 100% crop from an EOS 5D image shot with that lens and a Canon EF 2x attached. The focal length of the combination was 140mm (lens set to 70mm) and the aperture was f5.6 (wide open). If you are viewing this on a 19" monitor, it represents a section of a print that would be approximately 41.5" wide by 27.6" high.

This shows that (a) The EF 70-200/2.8L IS II USM is a very good lens indeed and (b) Even an old, 12MP, EOS 5D can produce excellent quality images!
